Hard to word question

Okay, to use a word I'm trying to figure out as an example.

To say "time wounds soul", wounds in this context isn't a plural, it's a verb, as in to cause a wound.

He wounds, for example.  Would it matter?  Would I leave the translation of the word as "Ahraan" or would it be different?

Good question! This is called conjugation, and Dovahzul thankfully has very little of it. English can be confusing that way because -s is used for both present tense conjugation ("he wounds") and plural nouns ("the wounds").

In Dovahzul "I wound," "he wounds," "she wounds," etc. would all use ahraan. So these would translate to zu'u ahraanrok ahraan, and rek ahraan. Whereas "the wounds" would be ahraanne or ahranne.

Yes, that's conjugation- the Spanish dictionary is complex because of that
