Word for Safe Haven

Could be "hofqah"
Because hofkah means house, but hofkah can mean,
"A house or hall that is a source of work or pride"
But that has nothing to do with a safe haven so we
could use the old English word Hof, which means
house, dwelling, hall, or court.
And the word Qah can mean any outward protection,
I'm not sure if it only applies to armor though.
Or, Hof do qah meaning, "house of protection".

You're on the right track. Given what Dovahzul words we DO know, hofkahseqah or hofkah do qah would both convey a safe haven. Since we don't know if "Hof" by itself is a valid word, it's better to stick with the vocabulary we know. Those notes about "hofkah" you are talking about are just commentary on how the developers MIGHT have come up with the word. The official sources, however, just list the word as "house/steading", which you can see in the "official definition" section of the Dovahzul dictionary on this site.
