Is this site totally dead or am I just being a jerk?

The last time I was on this site, we still had community word submissions, a fairly thriving community, and fairly often updates. Now we doon't have the ability to submit words, which is a real shame in my opinion, and the last update was january 2019.

Has the site, except for a few holdouts in the form of mods, totally died? Or am I just still expecting the older website, and by not seeing it, I'm seeing a dead website?

I'm not trying to be rude to the people who still use this site, I'm just...disappointed? I'm not sure what the correct word for it is

It's really unfortunate, to be honest. Is there any reason we stopped allowing community submissions? I feel like that was part of the real heart of the community. And if we don't plan to ever bring them back, should we even keep the "Words submitted" stat around? Sorry, I think I'm just a little blinded by nostalgia

Thankfully the resources on this site still haven't been matched elsewhere. I'd still recommend it to new learners. Even if there isn't an active community supporting the site, the content is still useful, despite any shortcomings.

January 22, 2020 		Yeah, no doubt. It's still the best resource available online. I would still recommend new people coming in, it's just not quite as active as it used to be
