Translating from English to symbols

This might be a stupid question but I need answers

I want to make an anniversary gift for my husband but I cant figure out how to get the correct translate. Do I translate from romanized alphabet or modern English alphabet.

I want to say "I Love You" but after reading i found that love isn't an official word or concept. So, i was thinking of something like "You are mine" or "You are my everything" something like that. I just need to know the alphabet that is provided is it meant to translate letter for letter from English or the romanized form? Like, do i write the symbols for y - o - u or do i do the romanized translation of you and use the symbols for h - i

For "you are mine", write hi los dii [hi los dii] or even hi dii [hi dii]. The word los 'be' is often cut from speech.
