I'm not following what you're saying to that guy who asked how to write in dragon runes.

I'm writing a fanfiction, and I'm trying to have this bit of text of which is supposed to be three sets of inscriptions on a plaque. In the Dragon Language, the same but in the English Alphabet, and finally in English. Someone in response to basically the same question said to put square brackets around what I want to write. But it comes out looking like this:

[M7MULN7: F7ST DRAGON TO BE SLAIN BY THE LAST DRAGONBORN]

I'm confused, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Does anyone know?
