the suffix -a

I have a question regarding the suffix -a. Can it only replace „wah“ when a to-infinitive follows like it is shown in the grammar lessons or can I use it also when I want to use wah as a preposition before a noun? „to someone/something“

Some examples:
„I fly to my mountain“ - zu‘u boha strunmahi
"I swear loyalty to the dragons“ - zu‘u vaata dov midun
"I will talk to them" - zu'u fent tinvaaka niin

Is it supposed to be used this way or am I confusing it with the french à ?

Yes, I think "-a" can replace any instance of "wah" so your three sentences are correct in my opinion.
