Dov and Dovah

Now, one thing I've never understood is the difference between 'dov' and 'dovah'. 

If there is one, what is the difference.

That's not quite correct. Dov can only mean Dragonkind. Dovah is singular, plural, and used to refer to oneself, if one is indeed a dovah.

"Dov" refers to "dragonkind" or can be used to describe one's self. "Dovah" is singular, referring to one dragon, not many.
