Pronunciation in IPA

What are the pronunciation of the vowel signs and diagraphs in IPA? The consonants seem rather straitforward, but the vowels are only approximated to english, which is not my native language (That would be Swedish. Consonants are mostly the same, though the dental fricatives and the labiovelar approximant do not exist in native vocabulary.)
