Different Versions

I'm wanting to learn this language and was wondering how different each versions are, or if they are all basically the same.

Sure, so the main "versions" you'll find here are the canon language (all the words found in Skyrim) and the non-canon language, which is the additions to it we've made here.

The only major difference between the canon and non-canon languages are added words. Grammar, pronunciation, and all that are exactly the same. There are a few minor grammar rules that we've added, like an optional future tense suffix ("Zu'u ruiin" = "I will run"). If you check out the Learning Dovahzul guide, it lists which rules are part of the canon or non-canon versions of the language.

Ok it is non-canon i was wodering about. Is there a large amount of diffence in non-canon for this site compared to another or are they all close to the same/are the same. Like is Keyaam a different word on a different site/source.

If there were another site or group doing something similar, I imagine the non-canon parts would probably be different. That said I have yet to come across anything like that.

Just something that would add a little to this question, since I don't think it's worth making a new thread for it: We could consider the non-canon words that change in other sources/groups as a kind of dialect, right? I mean, almost every language have such variations.
