Okay, so I am on the quest "The Staff of Magnus"  and while going through Labryinthian I heard a voice (I haven't finished the quest yet) say "nivahriin wuz fent siiv aaz het"  and since my dovahzul is basic at best I used the translator on the website. There was no translation for "wuz" in the dictionary.  Any idea on what it could mean?

Thanks

Yeah, I thought it was muz instead. Considering I was trying to type it all down before the subtitles on my game went away, I probably just saw incorrectly.

Yup, it's a misspelling of "muz". I think there might be  "nid" missing as well. The full phrase is "Cowardly men shall find no mercy here".

Yaropolk, here's my list from last time that addresses some of the words above. As for the others:

  • Tiidi - Tiid with a possessive suffix, "my time".
  • Qahnaraan - past participle of Qahnaar, "vanquished", "The mighty overlord is vanquished". It's possible that there's a new grammar rule here where "aa" becomes "a" when the suffix "-aan" is added.
  • Thu'umii - Thu'um with a possessive suffix, "his Thu'um". "His Thu'um is silenced".
  • Vomir - Mir with the prefix "Vo-", "unallied". "We are free from allegience".

Thank you paarthurnax. but I still have questions.

Zaamil - possibly Zaam with a possessive suffix? "I am not your slave"? I can't find a similar line in the English version so this is just a guess.

with this word all clear

Alan / Ahlaan - I'm not entirely sure where this is, but I think you may be referring to the line "Tiid bo amativ"? "Time flows onward". Maybe this is different in the English version too.

you say that it's a typo, but it isn't so, the word is written as there are in the game. I originally thought it was "Аh + laan" . (as in "ahKRIN" - Courage, (ah + KRIN = Hunter + Courageous) either "Ahmul - Husband" (Ah + mul  = Hunter + Strong).

but now I do not know, maybe it's "Ahl + aan" as in "Mulaan - Strength" (Mul + aan), but could not find a reason to cling to the "Ahl" : Ahlag-Impose, Ahlek-Bottle, Canteen, Ahlon- Relate, Ahlond-Relation / Relations, Ahlondein-Relationship, Ahlont-Relative/Related, Ahloriiv -Soothe, Ahlzon -Elephant.

and how to handle both versions in the context of the proposal - "I have served you for long enough. Tiidi do ahmik ahlann." ("my time" of service ...)

I find it difficult to analyze the information when badly understand English. but I hope with you I can understand that word (Ahlaan)

Looking at it again, I think it's very possibly "Oblaan", "end". "Tiidi do ahmik oblaan", "my time of service ends".

unlikely because there is already such a phrase. all phrases on command "Dragon Dismounted" :

  1. "I must leave you now."
  2. "I have served you for long enough. Tiidi do ahmik ahlann."
  3. "Zu'u ni zaamiil. You cannot command me forever."
  4. "Ahmik oblann. My service to you is over."

as you can see "Oblaan" has the fourth sentence

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Dragonborn:Dragon_Riding#Dragon_Speech

(just do not understand why it says here "ann" instead @aan@)

I found the UESP page for the quotes. It would appear "ahlann" is either a mispelling of "Oblaan" (as they have also mispelled it as "oblann") or it is an alternate form of "Oblaan" to mean "ended".

  • Losei - "you're", my dialogue file provides this translation: "So, you're the Dragonborn? I see nothing of the dragon about you."
  • There are many mistakes on that page. The word wall actually reads:
    • Het nok kopraan do Svolo
      Wo piraak mulaag wah krii
      Dovah nuz ni gaan wah
      Krii pogaan
    • Here lies the body of Svolo
Who possessed the strength to kill
Dragons but no thte stamina to
      Kill many
  • Misspelling of "aarre", "slaves". "Fools! Treacherous slaves! Your hopes are all withered! I am your doom!"
