Heh, I guess I've been lurking around this website for a while, but I suppose I should introduce myself more formally anyway.
Ahnok! I'm Myufi, stationed in northwest America and wishing it was colder. I regular in a high school defined by tech nerds, so I got Skyrim because people were raging everywhere over it. I only played Oblivion for a few hours at a friend's house within a few months before.
I LOVE dragons. Love 'em. Favorite animal. Even though I don't really like roleplay games. Skyrim is very immersive, though, so it's all well and good.
I picked up Dovahzul after me and a friend were messing with coded alphabets, and I went and looked up the lyrics to Dragonborn a few times on the Skyrim wiki. For a couple of weeks I poked at it, picking up some of the canon words and trying to learn the language off of wiki pages and my own tweaks to the dialect. It was after a week or two that I found thuum.org, but now that I'm here, I'm really enjoying myself.
I hope to contribute to the website for a long time, and eventually become fluent in the language on my own time. I have little experimental experience with conlangs, not knowing they existed elsewhere, and I've always been interested in linguistics on a personal level. I don't know any languages aside from English, but I have understanding that English is a mess of a language and other languages have a lot of interesting quirks that English doesn't. I have poked at Japanese, German, Spanish and Russian, though influent. I have longed to learn German for a long time.
I really enjoy being here, working with paarthurnax and the other users in developing this enjoyable language. There is a lot of potential and enjoyment in Dovahzul, and I'm excited to see where this leads!
