I can't believe you actually kept the rhythm. Very few translators do that at all. These forums are sorely starved of poetry, so you deserve my praises for this masterpiece of a translation!

It's somehow even refreshing to see "Dovah" performing its less popular duty, as a pronoun. And I honestly didn't think anyone could pull off apostrophes so gracefully.

Can't seem to find Wotwid or Freyahlovaas in the lexicon.

Thank you so much!  I was honestly surprised to have seen that someone hadn't attempted to do this in the past; in fact, I was surpised to have seen hardly any songs or poems translated at all.  It's definitely something I'm interested in continuing, that is, if it's welcome.  

I revised the two lines after you posted.  "Wotwid" was supposed to have been "Lotwid", or "Overburdened", and "Freyah" was supposed to have been "Freydah", or "Lamenting".  I also made "Freydah" and "lovaas" two separate words, as they're not, at this time, a valid compound.
