In the unfolding days of the Dragon War, priests of the Dragon Cult exchange vital letters in an effort to drive back the tahrodiis Nords and save the Cult. At first it seems like a petty affair. How can a few Nord warriors hope to stand against the might of the Dov? But it soon becomes clear that these Nords possess a power only the priests should, and that they are being aided...

Setting

This RP takes place in Skyrim during the Late Merethic Era. This means certain institutions and factions like The Dark Brotherhood will not exist. Since the RP will be through letters, each character can dwell in a different area of Skyrim, and a significant amount of time can pass between each letter.

Tone

This will be a serious roleplay. With the letter format, there will not be any direct violence or action, but any that takes place may be described in the letters.

Character Rules

All characters should be of one of the main Elder Scrolls races, and be involved with the Dragon Cult in some fashion. If you play as an outlander race, such as a Khajiit or Argonian, consider in your backstory how your character came to join the Cult. For inspiration, consider the Dragon Priests found in Skyrim. If you decide to play as a priest, think of name, the powers of your mask, your specific area of worship, and which dragon you revere, if any.

Posting Rules

All posts must be written in a letter format, and in runes only. Use square brackets to write in runes. (Posts should be in the dragon language, not English in runes.) Avoid punctuation if you can, and use line breaks to indicate sentence or clause breaks.

Because of the more involved format, everyone will have 1 week to make their post. On the other hand, the format will grant more freedom on your individual posts since you aren't as dependent on other players for their actions and reactions.

(The character I will be playing is Onikaan, a ranking dragon priest from a sect called the Sonaaksesot "The Priests of the Pale". He believes in acting on instinct, that our primal thoughts are the highest wisdom. Once set to follow in the footsteps of his warrior brothers, he became maimed in a sailing accident and pursued priesthood. He acts as a scribe and advisor to the inner circle of the Cult.)

(@Fronlaasfrin The rules for this RP specifically state not to write in English using Dovahzul runes. Also, you did not describe your character or give any background for them. Who is Zaamhus? Why do we know him? What is his relation with the cult? Details can really make a character pop!)

(I will be playing as Skoldi Golden-Voice, a mildly competent bard in Bleakrock Isle. He answers to the local dragon priest, Haldriin, and often takes care of replying to various correspondence when his master is otherwise busy. Bleakrock Isle is a small farming settlement on an island in the Sea of Ghosts to the Northeast of Skyrim, with its main settlement being Bleakrock Village.)

(I will be playing as Yolos, High Priest of the Church of the Dragon,  a sect of the Dragon Cult located on the Plains of Whiterun. He was a miner with a love for fire, in fact he had a magic torch. After getting caught in a cave-in in Embershard, he decided to join the Priesthood.)
