Forum Rules

We strive for a polite and and engaging community here at Thuum.org, and when posting to the forums, try to keep these common sense things in mind:

  1. Be courteous and respectful.
    1. No flaming.
    2. No harassing.
    3. No trolling.  We Shout trolls off cliffs.
    4. No deragotory or inflammatory language.
    5. No harsh language directed at other users.
  2. DO NOT engage in racism, sexism, discrimination, or verbal abuse of any kind.  We have a zero-tolerance policy towards all of the above.
  3. DO NOT spam or flood the forums.
  4. DO NOT post links to malicious sites or sites with illegal or inappropriate content.
  5. DO NOT post graphic, explicit, or extremely violent content. This site is for dragon language and Skyrim discussion.
  6. DO NOT post links to pirated content, software, or files.  We're a community with honesty and integrity.  If you participate in pirating on your own, it's not our business, but it becomes our business when you post it here.
  7. DO NOT advertise products or link to advertisements of any products that aren't related to the site's content or an existing discussion.
  8. DO NOT create a thread with the same topic as another recent thread.  Post to the existing thread instead.
  9. DO NOT post in inactive threads. If a thread is older than 3 months, consider creating a new thread.
  10. DO NOT create the same thread in multiple forums.  If you accidentally created a thread in the wrong forum, ask a moderator to move it for you.
  11. DO NOT derail a thread or hamper an ongoing discussion.  Stay on topic.
  12. DO NOT form an excessive reply chain.  Use common sense, keep it streamlined.
  13. DO NOT make excessively long posts.  Again, use common sense, split your post into two or more parts if you feel you need that space.  Exceptions include opening posts that might cover an advanced topic.
  14. DO NOT post roleplays outside of the Roleplay forum.

Pinned & Locked Threads

A pinned thread appears at the top of its forum.  Pinned threads might include important rules, notes, or conversations taking place within that forum.

A locked thread is a thread that can no longer be edited or posted to.  A thread may be locked if it is a static thread like this one, where no changes will be made, or if a moderator decides to lock a thread that has broken any of the rules above.

Privileges & Warnings

Our policies are simple enough, and we ask that you follow them to the best of your ability.  Plain and simple, we don't want to spend time dealing with any of the above.  In the event of an infraction, you may receive a warning from a moderator, you may have your posting priveliges revoked, or your account may be outright banned.  The response will depend on the severity of the infraction.

Using the Dragon Language in the Forums

You can use the Dragon Language in your posts with brackets around the text you want in the Dragon Language.  For example:

This is how you say hello in the Dragon Language: [Drem yol lok!]

Would then appear in the forums as:

This is how you say the hello in the Dragon Language: DREM YOL LOK!

You don't need to worry about typing the special characters.  It will convert it for you.  If you want to do this through the source text instead, use the following tag, replacing element with whichever tag you want:

<element style="font-family:dragonscript;"><element>
