Create your own Word Wall

Drem Yol Lok !

?

In this thread, I suggest you write your own Word Wall. As you may know, they are ancient texts written a long time ago by the Nords on big stones called "Qethsegol". They most often commemorate a special event or someone's deeds. But before starting writing your text, here are some rules you'll have to follow in order to make it as realistic as possible :

  • Your Word Wall will have to be about 20 to 30 words long.
  • It will have to commemorate an event or someone for his deeds (in dovahzul, of course).
  • Most articles and pronouns (the, this, a, his...) will be ommited, they'll be implied.
  • The punctuation and plural should also be ommited.

?

?Moreover, you should start your Word Wall with one of these sentences :

  • "QETHSEGOL VAHRUKIV___..." (This stone commemorates ___...)
  • "HET NOK KOPRAAN DO___..." (Here lies___...)
  • "___WAHLAAN QETHSEGOL___VAHRUKT..." (___raised this stone for___...)
  • "NONVUL BRON MAHFAERAAK DAHMAAN..." (Noble Nords, forever remember...)

(These are the most recurring ones, but you can check the Word Walls on the Wiki to see other examples.)

?

Also, I'm working on a mod that would add all the unavailable shouts in Skyrim. I told myself that I had to create Walls of Words for these shouts, instead of doing them all I decided to let you do some of them. If you want to help by participating, your World Wall will have to contain one of these words :

  • Slen (Flesh) Resurrect Shout
  • Tiid (Time) Resurrect Shout
  • Vo (Undo) Resurrect Shout
  • Diil (Undead) Soul-Cairn Summon
  • Qoth (Tomb) Soul-Cairn Summon
  • Zaam (Slave) Soul-Cairn Summon
  • Ven (Wind) Soul Mist
  • Mul (Strength) Soul Mist
  • Riik (Gale) Soul Mist
  • Jiid (Moon) Meteor Storm Call
  • So (Sorrow) Meteor Storm Call
  • Daan (Doom) Meteor Storm Call

?

Now, here are the two Word Walls I've done so far, they both contain 3 words of power as these shouts have no effect unless you unlock the three Rotmulaag :

?

Return to Nirn : [n4l d1l vus]? (used by Tsun in Sovngarde)

?

QETHSEGOL VAHRUKIV SOD SE DOVAHKIIN LAAT
NAHL WO MEYZ WAH SOVNGARDE NOL VUS
AHRK SPAAN MU NOL DAAL SE LOT ALDUIN

(This stone commemorates the deeds of the Dragonborn, last
living who came to Sovngarde from Nirn
and protected us from the return of great Alduin.)

?

?

Path of Honor : [zin bo pr1n]? (made-up shout used to get to Sovngarde)

?

YSGRAMOR WAHLAAN QETHSEGOL KULII VAHRUKT
YNGOL WO TOGAAT BO KEIZAAL FAH ZIN DO
OK BROD NUZ DIR KO MUNAX OKAAZ AHRK SIIV
UNSLAAD PRAAN KO SOVNGARDE

(Ysgramor raised this stone in memory of his son,
Yngol, who attempted to go to Skyrim for the honor of
his clan but died in the crual sea and found
eternal rest in Sovngarde.)

?

I hope you will enjoy making it and look forward for seeing your creations !
