[UNFINISHED] The Night Before Christmas

 1

So, I kinda lost interest in making this translation halfway, but I'm posting it anyway as to not have done it for nothing. Enjoy!

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

N'Lost vulon us Kristmas, fod pah zeim Keizaal,
Ni gein bron lost kriftaas, ni orin ok paal.
Fin qah lost nok naal fin heim voth morah,
Ko hindde St. Nikolas fen kos til fah pah.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of sugar plums danced in their heads.
And Mama in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap.

Kiirre lost praantaas voth faad stin nol faas,
Voth pogaas wah hind fah ahrk aan pruzah laas.
Ahrk monah voth zahkrii, ahrk zu'u voth dii tuz,
lost gut nol tiiraaz wah lost praan ruz.

When out on the roof there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
tore open the shutter, and threw up the sash.

Fod nol fin lok til alok pogaas zaanne,
Zu'u bo nol dii praantaas wah koraav volaanne.
Zu'u bo wah fin lok med aan sahrot dovah,
Bex fin hofkiin, ahrk ofan aan dah.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
gave the lustre of midday to objects below,
when, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
but a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer.

Fin lot Masser nau fin odus pindaar,
ful pruzah tol wahl dii nah evenaar.
Fod voth dii miinne koraav ni grah,
nuz aan rinik mal veysun ahrk osos mal dovah

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than eagles, his coursers they came,
and he whistled and shouted and called them by name:

Voth aan mal wuth in, ful laastaas ahrk grik,
zu'u mindok ko mal tiid lost wah kos St. Nick.
    ....
    ....

"Now Dasher! Now Dancer!
Now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid!
On, Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch!
To the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away!
Dash away all!"

    Nu Dasher! Nu Danser!
    Nu, Pranser ahrk Vixen!
    Nau, Komet! Nau, Kupid!
    Nau Donner ahrk Blitzen!
    Alok wah fin lok!
    Alok nol hofkah!
Nu bo nol het! Bo nol het!
    Bo nol het pah!

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
when they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky
so up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
with the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too.

Ol ruvaakke tol us fin lot wuld bo,
    fod nust grind voth .....
