About the updated canon course... What will be better about it? Will it include more words? More pronunciation audio? I'm curious, i'm still learning the canon part of the language :)

Yup, the updated course will include all known words, as well as audio pronunciation and better organization.

In comparison, the new course is easy to follow, organized, more correct, and audioful.

It's pretty much like the non-canon course (well, the non-canon course is more like the new canon course as the NCC was modeled after the CC while it was still a work in progress).

Who did the audio files for it?

That would be me :) I've only voiced up to level 21 but I'm adding more over time, and I'll redo words that change. What do you think?

The new canon course is fantastic! The learning is so much more smooth and streamlined. I can't wait for everyone to see it!

Great job on the audio, by the way, Foduiiz. It makes a world of difference to hear each word as you're learning.

Does every word have a mem to it? I was hoping to make some, but it turns out that some of the mems are the exact same thing I was thinking!

No, there's still plenty of mems to be made! (hurry, though!)

I finally got around to signing up to Memrise to try out the new course. Wow, you guys did a really great job! That is going to make learning this language so much easier, thank you.

Yes, we do grow quickly don't we? Nearly every day, I greet newcommers. I find it fascinating, how so many come so quickly.

one day, maybe this site will be the go-to destination for elder scroll fans for community, but as skyrim grows older, do any of you worry that thu'um will fade into obscurity?

Ah, yes. I don't believe that this language will become much more commonplace. Take, for example, Klingon: the fluent in Klingon are generally true, diehard fans of Star Trek. The series is very large, with widespread usage of the Klingon language (as far as I know; I never truly looked into it), yet it is a rarity to actually meet someone who knows the Klingon language. We, on the other hand, have only one game to go off of to expand a language that doesn't seem to be meant to be taken very seriously at all as a legitimate, learnable language. And that game was created quite some years ago. So to meet a fellow Dovahzulaan is already a huge rarity, and doesn't have much promise to become more widespread, especially because of its loss of official, popular usage. Just my ¢2.37.

All we can hope for is that bethesda explores it more in future games otherwise this site will linger until we are no more, grik los lein, but now i slide down the long slope of melancholy.
