Is there any difference between Qalos and Haalvut?

I'm doing the memrise course and stambled upon this bit. The dictionary says they both mean "touch" but I'd like to know if they're always interchangeable.

Sorry if it is a repeated question, and thanks in advance!

The dictionary pages of qalos and haalvut can answer. To summarise: haalvut contains haal 'hand'. If this is not coincidental, it cements haalvut as a physical or at least real-world action. The only example of qalos is what an Elder Scroll does to time, found in dialogue from Paarthurnax.
