A suggestion: Perhaps you could describe the vultures instead of making them outright and leave it to the reader to understand.

What I associate with vulture is: dead flesh (carrion), animal, and flight.

A vulture could be described as "Raanne bo til wah naak fin dilon raan." or "animals flew there to eat the dead animal (carcass)."

Sorry I'm late, but I think I can help! If this is intended to be a name, may I suggest using traditional Dovah naming conventions? Let's find three monosyllabic rotmulaag, or Words of Power, that will fit together to create a Dovah name Thu'um!

A few possible words:

[Raan] Raan - Animal

[Bo] Bo - Fly

[Naak] Naak - Eat

[Dir] Dir - Die

[Praan] Praan - To lie (as in rest or death)

[Viir] Viir - Dying

Combine three of those words to create a name Thu'um for your bird, or look through the Dictionary to find other words that you think would fit! I suggest looking at a list of the Shouts from the game Skyrim, since those are all composed of one-syllable words that would fit nicely into a Dovah name. It's also possible to create a name from one monosyllablic word and one two-syllable word, though that's canonically far less common.

I personally really like the name "Naakviirraan," which directly translates to "Eat Dying Beast." That's about as close to naming something "Vulture" as one can get in Dovahzul!

Most animals aren't named for their actions, and only a few are named for their looks.
