How would you translate two letters that are the same next to each other?

What would you do if it has two of the same
Letter in a person's name, how would you tranlate
That?for example if a person's name is...matthew
How would you say the two t's?

Because you're using a word loaned from English to Dovahzul, you'll want to keep it exactly as it's written, so you would in fact use two T's next to each other.

The precise method for transcribing foreign names is never explained, but if (as in most languages that don't use Latin letters) you want to go by sound rather than spelling, the closest equivalent is [mathyu] "MATHYU"
