Pronunciation of J

How would a j be pronounced in Dovahzul? I always thought they would be said with a y sound like in many Germanic languages, especially the Nordic languages, but in The Song of the Dragonborn I can hear them sung both ways. In the line, "Wo lost fron wah ney dov, ahrk fin reyliik do jul," it's said with a soft j, but later in the line, "Paaz Keizaal fen kos stin nol bein Alduin jot," it's said with a y. Is that just due to the choir not really caring because, at the time, this wasn't really intended to be an actual language? And if so, then what would be the correct way of saying it?

In the English version of the game, I don't believe that it ever sounds like the english "y". It's always been /ʒ/ or /dʒ/ (as the "j" in "just" or the "s" in "vision"). It varies widely amonst the different language versions of the game, though.

According to the alphabet page at the learn section, it is pronounced 'jen'. MP3 of it is here.
