This is my forte. *clears throat* Skooma is made from fermented sucrose (aka Moon Sugar or ethanol IRL) and nightshade. The root of the nightshade provides the most potent effects, but is the hardest to work with. The berries and flowers of the nightshade are a middle ground, fairly potent and fairly easy to make, and the leaves of the nightshade are extremely easy to make skooma with, but the result will be very low quality, hence the name "Leaf Skooma". Whatever part of the plant is used, it must be ground into a very fine powder before mixing it with the Moon Sugar, and it must be fresh. After a few days, the nightshade will lose its essence, and simply become poison. That's the basic recipe for skooma, but there are other ingredients that can be added. For example, adding poppies greatly increases the euphoria experienced, but at the cost of greater addictiveness and more destructive effects on the body. Adding goat milk will cause the user to feel like they're floating. Certain types of bone marrow ground into the nightshade powder makes for a very sweet skooma, but the user will become paranoid a few minutes later, and will possibly experience fits of dementia. This info is all from the games. Don't try it in real life. If the nightshade doesn't kill you, the pure ethanol will. If you survive that, and you mixed poppies into your skooma, now you have the morphine-based drug opium to deal with. I've seen the effects of opium. They're not pretty. Don't do skooma. |
