I am having trouble with pronouncing things.

In lesson 1 in the lessons, it says in the ''I'' letter that its rarely pronounced like the i in "Win"

What words use the I pronounctiation as in Win?

Cases where "i" is pronounced short most often occurs where it doesn't receive the stress.  For example, Durnehviir pronounces the "i" in qahnaarin short (this word is stressed on the second syllable). It's situational, and there isn't a good precedent set yet for when it should or shouldn't be pronounced long.

Yes, the short "u" in "sun" would follow similar rules to short "i". The pronunciation of "o" as in "on" should be avoided. There are one or two cases where it crops up, but it's atypical pronunciation.
