Literal translation(?)

"Dovah" means a dragon, right? Also, "Dov" means dragonkind and "Ah" means Hunter, correct? So if we were to translate "Dovah", it literally means "Dragonkind Hunter"? So a dragon is a dragon hunter? :S

It is a possible interpretation, but I wouldn't put too much weight into it. As a single syllable, "Ah" is a very common sound that just happens to also be a word on its own. There are many words that feature "ah" that probably don't relate to the word for "hunter," such as golah "stubborn" (probably not "earth hunter") and monah "mother" (probably not "daughter hunter").

A similar comparison in English would be "ah is to dovah as car is to carpet." They have the same sounds, but they're unrelated words.

It likely means nothing. Another interpretation is "Do Vah," "Of Spring."
