Translation for "eldritch" ?

Can't seem to find a direct translation for "eldritch", I got an alternative in the form "ghostly" as "gaaf", but would rather use eldritch. Some other alternatives such as "foreign", "strange", and "uncanny" produced no results, and I tried to use the term "otherworldly" by using the words "far away land/world" which led to  some mixed results with "Lein - world" and "Gut - far". Any suggestions?
