"Sokaaz" is the body of water.  "Vaal" would be used to stay "keep them at bay" or "hold them at bay".  I added to the notes of "Vaal" to clarify.

In this case they're homonyms, which isn't the greatest but it's okay since they're different parts of speech. "Vol" is derived from "Volah", following the same pattern as "Pruzah" and "Pruz".  I guess it just so happened that "Vol" meant "horror" as well.

In this case both are needed.  One is the possessive determiner ("her sword", "her crown"), one is accusative/dative form of the "she", ("I know her", "Find her").

For "Gah", I would recommend keeping it as is.  They are two different parts of speech, one's a verb and the other is an adverb, so it's not difficult to distinguish them in context.  "Gah" as meaning "yet" has been used so much in previous writing that I think changing it would do more harm than good.
