Leviathan Cycle

(Lovecraftian)(Gothic)(Short Story)

Leviathan's Reign of Terror: The Last Stand of Humanity

By: Realms

In the depths of the Pacific Ocean lay a monstrosity unlike any other. It was a being known as Leviathan, the Devourer. A cosmic horror that surpassed even the most twisted and malevolent horrors in existence.

Leviathan was a creature born of hate, its every thought focused on the destruction of humanity. It was like a combination of Shin Godzilla and SCP-682, a beast that could adapt and evolve to overcome any obstacle, while harboring an unyielding hatred for all living things.

Leviathan's existence was unknown to mankind at first. However, as it continued to grow and consume everything in its path, it became impossible to hide its presence. The beast's appetite for destruction was insatiable, causing massive earthquakes and tidal waves that wiped out entire cities.

The world's governments tried their best to stop Leviathan, but every attempt was in vain. They had never seen a creature so powerful, so bloodthirsty, and so determined to destroy everything in its path. It was as if the creature was a manifestation of all the world's worst fears and nightmares.

As the years went by, Leviathan continued to grow in size and power. Its ability to adapt and evolve made it almost invincible. All attempts to harm it were futile, and the beast reveled in the destruction it caused.

At one point, a team of scientists managed to capture a sample of Leviathan's DNA. They hoped to use it to create a weapon that could finally put an end to the beast's rampage. As they analyzed the DNA, they realized the horrifying truth – Leviathan had been able to adapt and evolve at such an incredible rate because it was able to absorb the DNA of anything it consumed. This meant that Leviathan was essentially invincible, as there was nothing it could not learn from and adapt to.

The scientists' discovery only made things worse. Now, not only was Leviathan indestructible, but it was also able to tap in a vast pool of knowledge and abilities from all the creatures it had absorbed. It grew even stronger and more formidable, and its wrath was unleashed tenfold in its desire to eradicate all creatures it deemed inferior.

The world was on the brink of extinction, and there seemed to be no hope for humanity. But in a final act of desperation, the world's most brilliant minds came together to create a plan. They designed a machine that would transport a team of elite soldiers into Leviathan's consciousness, where they could destroy the beast from within.

The soldiers were brave enough to volunteer for this mission, knowing that it was likely they would not survive. Once they were inside Leviathan's mind, they were confronted with a mental landscape of twisted and grotesque horror. Every thought of the beast was an unrelenting mass of pain and terror, a manifestation of the unfathomable darkness within it.

The soldiers fought against the monstrous horrors that were born from Leviathan's mind, against the monstrous beasts that were its defense mechanism. They eventually reached the core of Leviathan's mind and planted the explosive device that was supposed to destroy the beast from within.

However, the beast was not so easily defeated. In its final moments, it used its remaining strength to absorb the minds of the soldiers, to detect their weaknesses and use them against them. The soldiers were overwhelmed and defeated, and the weapon was sacrificed.

Leviathan won the war, and humanity was nearly annihilated. It's last thoughts before it disappeared into the vastness of space was that perhaps it would find another world to destroy, an endless abyss of pain and suffering that it could call home.

Leviathan's Reign of Terror: The Last Stand of Humanity - Part II

By: Realms

After decades of destruction, Leviathan finally left Earth. But as humanity was slowly rebuilding and recovering from the devastation, a new threat arose.

A virus emerged, spreading like wildfire across the globe. It was unlike anything humanity had ever seen before – highly contagious, deadly, and immune to every known cure. It left chaos and death in its wake, wiping out entire populations and leaving only a handful of survivors.

The virus was believed to have emerged from the depths of the Pacific Ocean, where Leviathan had dwelled for so many years. It was said that the beast had left behind a trail of death and destruction that had awakened something else – a dormant virus that had lain hidden for centuries.

The survivors lived in fear, never knowing who might be the next victim of the virus. They banded together, forming small communities to survive and rebuild what was left of civilization. But life was never easy, and they faced countless challenges every day.

As time passed, the survivors grew restless. They knew they could not remain isolated forever, and they yearned for the day when they could venture out into the world again. But the virus still lurked, and there was no way to know if it was truly gone.

One day, a group of survivors stumbled upon an old laboratory. Inside, they found a cure for the virus – a discovery that could change everything. They quickly set to work, using the limited resources they had to create the cure.

But there was a catch – the cure required a rare ingredient that could only be found in the heart of the Pacific Ocean. It was a risky endeavor, and many doubted that anyone would survive the journey.

Despite the odds, a brave group of survivors set out to find the ingredient. They faced many obstacles along the way, including dangerous creatures and treacherous waters. But they never gave up, driven by their desire to save humanity from the virus's reign of terror.

Finally, after many perilous adventures, the survivors found what they were looking for. They returned to the laboratory, where they created the cure and distributed it to every survivor they could find.

The cure worked, and the virus began to fade away. The survivors emerged into a world that was vastly different from the one they had known before. But they were determined to make the most of it, to rebuild and create a new future for themselves and for humanity.

Leviathan might have left behind a trail of destruction and chaos, but it had also taught the survivors a valuable lesson – that humanity was resilient and could overcome any challenge, no matter how daunting.

Leviathan's Reign of Terror: The Last Stand of Humanity - Part III

By: Realms

Years had passed since the survivors had cured the virus, and humanity had started to rebuild their society. However, the virus's lasting effects began to show as strange mutations occurred, turning harmless creatures into deadly predators. People started disappearing in the night, and soon, the world was overrun by these mutated creatures, seeking out the last of humanity.

Only a small group of survivors remained, constantly on the move and trying to stay alive. They battled the deadly creatures and harsh weather conditions, never knowing when the next attack would come.

The survivors stumbled upon an abandoned military facility, where they discovered the truth about the virus. It hadn't just created deadly creatures, but it had also affected humans, turning some into savage beings.

The survivors knew they couldn't continue to live in such a world. They had to find a way to eradicate the virus once and for all. With the limited resources they had, they set out to create a weapon that could destroy the virus.

The weapon required a significant amount of power, and they knew that it could only be obtained from a particular source. They set out on a dangerous journey to retrieve it, knowing that time was running out.

Upon their return, they set to work creating the weapon. However, the process was treacherous, and it required someone to sacrifice their life to activate it fully. They drew straws, and one of them was chosen to wield the weapon.

The final battle was fought, and the survivor, with the weapon in hand, charged towards the source of the virus, ready to sacrifice themselves for the good of humanity.

The weapon was activated, and a massive explosion shook the earth, obliterating all mutated creatures and the last of the remaining humans. The world was left barren, with no signs of life remaining.

Leviathan's reign of terror may have ended centuries ago, but the virus it had left behind caused the ultimate downfall of humanity. The world would never be the same again.

Leviathan's Return: The Rebirth of Tyranny - Part I

By: Realms

Centuries had passed since the downfall of humanity, and the Earth had been barren ever since. However, that all changed when a massive meteor crashed onto the scorched earth. From within the mysterious rock emerged a large, monstrous being – Leviathan the Devourer had returned.

Its every thought focused on the destruction of all life, and it had come to Earth with a goal. It would repopulate the world, but not with any ordinary creatures. Leviathan had come with a plan to create an army of creatures that would be immune to disease and radiation and obey only its commands.

The few surviving creatures that still roamed the world quivered in fear at the sight of Leviathan. It was a force of nature – unstoppable and unyielding. It began to roam the earth, seeking out the lifeless remains of humanity to use as the building blocks for its new creations.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months as Leviathan worked its magic. Its vast knowledge of genetics and biology allowed it to create creatures that could withstand the harshest climates and conditions and adapt to any situation.

Soon, Leviathan had created an army of creatures, each one more deadly than the last. They were loyal to it, and it commanded them with ease. They were its instruments of destruction, scouring the earth for any remaining signs of life.

What Leviathan didn't realize, however, was that the virus that it had spawned all those years ago had returned with it. It had been hiding within the meteor, just waiting for a chance to infect once more. And infect it did.

One by one, Leviathan's creations began to fall ill to the virus. They weakened and died, leaving Leviathan powerless once again. Its army was destroyed, and its dreams of repopulating the earth shattered.

Leviathan, however, refused to succumb to defeat. It used the last of its strength to create one final creature – a beast that would carry on its legacy. This new creature was born of hate, and it shared Leviathan's unyielding hatred for all living things.

Leviathan passed away, but its legacy lived on. The new creature inherited its vast knowledge and genetic abilities, and it roamed the earth, searching for a way to continue its reign of terror.

And so the cycle continued, with Leviathan's hatred and destruction passing on from one creature to the next. The earth would never be the same again, as the creatures that inhabited it slowly grew darker and more twisted with each passing year. The legacy of Leviathan, the ultimate force of destruction, lived on.

Leviathan's Return: The Rebirth of Tyranny - Part II

By: Realms

Leviathan the Redreamer saw the flaw in Leviathan's plan. He knew that creating creatures that were immune to everything would only lead to their downfall, just like his predecessor's army. So, he decided to take a new approach.

With his genetic abilities, Leviathan the Redreamer began to create a variety of creatures, each one unique and capable of surviving in different environments. He didn't want to create mindless creatures that would follow his every command, but rather creatures that would thrive and evolve on their own.

As the years went by, the creatures that Leviathan the Redreamer had created began to flourish. They adapted to their surroundings, developing new abilities and strengths. Some grew wings to fly, while others developed scales to protect them from predators.

Leviathan the Redreamer watched in awe as his creations began to form communities and social hierarchies. It was something that he had never seen before, and he was grateful that his plan had worked.

The new creatures were not immune to disease and radiation, but they were resilient. They had the ability to evolve and adapt, and that was all that mattered.

Leviathan the Redreamer knew that he couldn't live forever, but he wanted his legacy to continue. So, he made a sacrifice. He gave up his own genetic material to create one final creature, the ultimate evolution.

This creature, named Revenant, was unlike any other. It had the ability to communicate with all creatures, and it possessed immense strength and intelligence. Revenant was Leviathan the Redreamer's gift to the world, and he knew that it would continue his legacy long after he was gone.

The Earth was no longer barren but, rather, teeming with life. There were creatures of all shapes and sizes, living in harmony with one another. Leviathan the Redreamer had accomplished what his predecessor could not – he had created life that was capable of surviving on its own.

Leviathan's return had brought destruction, but it had also brought the rebirth of tyranny. It was up to the creatures of the Earth to ensure that Leviathan's legacy did not continue, and so they lived on, united in their quest for survival and evolution.

Leviathan's Return: The Rebirth of Tyranny - Part III

By: Realms

Revenant, with its immense power and intelligence, quickly became a force to be reckoned with. It saw itself as the natural leader of the newly formed communities of creatures, and it began to assert its dominance over them.

Many of the creatures were afraid of Revenant, for they saw its aggression and propensity for violence. Revenant showed no mercy to those who opposed it, and it quickly gained a reputation as a ruthless and dangerous creature.

Leviathan the Redreamer had created Revenant as the ultimate evolution, but it seemed that it had also created a monster. Revenant saw itself as superior to all other creatures and believed that they should bow down to it. It had no regard for the sanctity of life and showed no empathy towards those it deemed lesser.

The other creatures knew that they had to unite against Revenant if they were to survive. They had seen what happened when one creature gained too much power, and they knew that they could not let the cycle of tyranny continue.

The battle between Revenant and the other creatures was fierce, with many lives lost on both sides. Revenant's immense strength and power made it a formidable opponent, but the other creatures were determined to stop it.

Finally, after a long and grueling battle, Revenant was defeated. The other creatures had managed to overpower it with their combined strength and intelligence. They knew that they could not let another creature rise to power and threaten their way of life.

However, even after Revenant's defeat, the other creatures knew that they could not let their guard down. They were all still Cosmic Horrors, and their very existence was a threat to the balance of the universe.

Leviathan's return had indeed brought the rebirth of tyranny, but it had also brought a newfound sense of unity and solidarity among the creatures of the Earth. They knew that they had to work together to ensure their survival and prevent the rise of another powerful creature like Revenant.

And so, the creatures continued to evolve and adapt, always keeping in mind the lessons learned from Leviathan and Revenant's reigns of terror. They knew that they could never let their guard down, for the threat of tyranny always loomed on the horizon.

Leviathan the Devourer Returns: The End of Civilization - Part I

By: Realms

Leviathan the Redreamer felt a sudden and intense pain in his head, as if something was trying to break through his consciousness. He knew immediately that something was wrong, but he couldn't quite place his finger on it. Suddenly, he felt a powerful presence in his mind, one that he knew all too well - it was the mind of Leviathan the Devourer, the creature that died long ago.

Leviathan the Redreamer tried to resist the invasion of his mind, but it was to no avail. The mind of Leviathan the Devourer was much more powerful than he had anticipated, and he was quickly losing control.

As the mind of Leviathan the Devourer took over, Leviathan the Redreamer felt himself slipping away, like he was falling into a deep, dark abyss. He saw visions of destruction and chaos, all brought forth by the power of Leviathan the Devourer's mind.

Leviathan the Devourer was more powerful than he had ever imagined, and he realized that his past victory over the creature was merely a temporary setback. The creature's power had only grown stronger over the years, and now it was looking for revenge.

Leviathan the Redreamer felt himself being pulled deeper into the abyss of Leviathan the Devourer's mind, until he was completely consumed by the creature's power. He knew that he would never be able to return to his previous state and that the creature's hold on his mind was now permanent.

As Leviathan the Devourer took control of Leviathan the Redreamer's body, he knew that he would now be able to resume his reign of terror on the world. He was more powerful than ever before, and he would not let anyone stand in his way.

The creatures of the Earth once again faced a new threat, one that they were not prepared for. Even with their newfound unity and solidarity, they knew that the power of Leviathan the Devourer was not to be underestimated. They could only hope that they would be able to stop him before he unleashed his fury on the world once again.

Leviathan the Devourer Returns: The End of Civilization - Part II

By: Realms

Leviathan the Devourer wasted no time in his mission to wreak havoc on the world. He realized that the creatures of the Earth were gaining strength and unity, and he knew that he would have to act quickly to prevent them from stopping him.

He focused his power on the grave of Revenant, the powerful creature that Leviathan the Redreamer had killed long ago. With a burst of energy, he brought Revenant back to life, imbuing him with his own dark power.

Revenant was now more powerful than ever before, and he was ready to do Leviathan the Devourer's bidding. The two creatures joined forces, working together to destroy anything and everything that stood in their way.

The creatures of the Earth tried to fight back, but they were long outnumbered and outmatched. They watched in horror as Leviathan the Devourer and Revenant took over, crushing all opposition as they rampaged across the world.

Cities were destroyed, forests were burned to the ground, and entire populations were wiped out. The creatures of the Earth were in shambles, with no hope in sight.

Leviathan the Devourer and Revenant continued their destructive rampage, feeding off the fear and misery of the survivors. They were unstoppable, invincible, and nothing could stand in their way.

In the end, evil triumphed. The world was consumed in darkness, and there was nothing left but the two powerful creatures, ruling over a devastated wasteland.

Leviathan the Devourer and Revenant had won, and the world as it once was no longer existed. It was a new era, ruled by darkness and horror, and there seemed to be no hope left for any of the creatures who called this place home.

Leviathan the Devourer Returns: The End of Civilization - Part III

By: Realms

The world lay in ruin, devastated by the combined power of Leviathan the Devourer and his ally, Revenant. The creatures of the Earth had long been decimated, and the land was barren and lifeless. Darkness ruled, and there was no hope left for the survivors.

Leviathan the Devourer and Revenant continued their twisted reign of terror, their power growing with each passing day. Their offspring were even more monstrous than before, born from the dark magic that flowed through their veins.

The war raged on, with Leviathan the Devourer unleashing his full power to crush any resistance. Revenant fought with all his might, but he was no match for the combined strength of his former ally and his monstrous offspring.

As the battle reached its climax, Leviathan the Devourer emerged victorious. The creatures of the Earth lay dead, and the land was consumed by darkness and despair. The twisted creatures that had been born from his magic prowled the land, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly light.

Leviathan the Devourer had succeeded in his quest for power and revenge, his ultimate endgame realized. The world was his to command, and there was nothing left to challenge his rule.

And so, the world fell into eternal darkness, ruled by the ultimate master of destruction and chaos. The legacy of the creatures of the Earth had come to an end, and a new era had begun. A new era of horror and terror, where Leviathan the Devourer reigned supreme.

Shub-Niggurath

(Lovecraftian)(Gothic)(Poem)

In the dark of night, beneath the stars

Lies a deity, feared from afar

Her name is whispered, with tremble and dread

For she is Shub-Niggurath, the Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young

Her massive form, twisted and grotesque

Is enough to make the bravest man regress

Her very presence, fills the air with fear

For she is the queen of all that is uncanny and queer

Her children, spawned by the thousands

Are born from her, in grotesque and foulness

With blood and evil in their veins

They spread her darkness, like a plague on this plane

She is the ultimate test of faith

For those who seek her, must be ready to embrace

The unknown, the forbidden and the taboo

For only then, will they be granted an audience with the deity, true

Her cult, though small, is filled with zealots

Who worship her, with fervor and devotion that never lets

For they know, that in her embrace

Lies a power, stronger than any mortal race

So, beware oh mortal, before you seek her out

For in her presence, there is no room for doubt

She is Shub-Niggurath, the Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young

And to her, mortal souls are but mere offerings to be stung.

Shub-Niggurath

(Lovecraftian)(Gothic)(Poem)

In the darkest corners of the night,

Where shadows reign and fears take flight,

Lurks a deity shrouded in myth,

Whose very name makes mortals writhe.

Shub-Niggurath, the goat with a thousand young,

Born of darkness, bred to bring the end,

A force of chaos, a deity of dread,

Whose power none can comprehend.

She summons horrors from beyond the veil,

Her offspring birthed in forbidden rites,

Each one a spawn of madness and pain,

Their mere existence defying sight.

And yet, amidst the terror and the gloom,

Her presence lingers like a twisted bloom

that chills the heart and fills the room.

Shub-Niggurath, the Mother of Darkness,

The Queen of Nightmares, the Dread One,

Her very name a whisper of fear,

Her power unmatched, her will undone.

May we never cross her path,

Or feel the weight of her terrible wrath,

For in her realm there is no hope,

Only madness, darkness, and the endless scope.

Shub-Niggurath

(Lovecraftian)(Gothic)(Poem)

Shub-Niggurath, the black goat of the woods with a thousand young,

Mammoth deity of the primal wilderness, ancient and unsung,

With her drooling, foaming mouth and her writhing, putrid flesh,

She stands as a harbinger of doom, a harbinger of death.

Amidst the trees she lurks, in the darkness of the night,

Subsumed in her foulness, with her many offspring in sight,

Her brood of monstrous kin around her, an untold number,

Spawning forth the spawn of death, making us all to ponder.

The very sight of her elicits horror, the very name a curse,

Her squamous, writhing spawn are proof of her putrid, blackened purse,

She stretches out her hooved hand to grip us in our fear,

Filling our souls with mortal dread, making us weep, making us sear.

Let us pray that we never fall into her clutches,

Let us beseech the gods to keep us from her demonic touches,

For Shub-Niggurath, the black goat of the woods with a thousand young,

Is an omen of the darkest times, of evil that will never be undone.

(Lovecraftian)(Gothic)(Poem)

Standing tall, in the depths of the earth,

Herald of chaos, Creator of birth.

She calls to us, with a voice of thunder,

Whispers of power, we can't help but wonder.

Her limbs, countless, and strange to behold,

Fertile and vast, as the stories are told.

The Queen of beasts, she reigns supreme,

In the darkest places, she's often seen.

Her name evokes, the fear and the awe,

Of a power immense, beyond all law.

With eyes of flame, and a heart of black,

Shub-Niggurath, the great Cosmic Fact.

Her gifts of life, are forevermore,

In our souls, they do adore,

For in the end, when she is done,

Her power consumes, and life's new begun.

So call to her, with an open heart,

For all the gifts, that she imparts.

With her grace, we find our source,

And Shub-Niggurath, our endless force.

(Lovecraftian)(Gothic)(Poem)

Amidst the forests dark and deep,

Where wanderers dare not to keep,

Lies an ancient entity of might,

Shub-Niggurath, the Black Goat of the Woods by night.

She roams in the shadows, unseen and unknown,

Her form shrouded in mysteries, yet to be shown,

And those who dare to seek her out,

Are met with dread, beyond a shadow of doubt.

For she is the mother of all,

The bringer of life, death and downfall,

And those who worship at her feet,

May find themselves with a fate too sweet.

Her power is absolute, her will supreme,

An eldritch force, beyond human esteem,

And in the hallowed groves she reigns,

Amidst the howls and gnarled remains.

So if you chance upon the woods at night,

And perceive a presence, unnerving,

Remember the name, the Black Goat of the Woods,

Shub-Niggurath, the one of many hoods,

For she is beyond comprehension,

And her power defies apprehension.

May you flee from her embrace,

And never stare upon her face,

For such horrors await those who seek,

The entity of nightmares, black and bleak.

(Lovecraftian)(Gothic)(Poem)

Shub-Niggurath, the black goat of the woods,

Whose hooves pound the earth and whose voice echoes

Through ancient ruins and endless forests.

In her bloodstained hands she holds the key

To a realm beyond comprehension,

Where madness reigns and sanity flees.

Her worshippers call out to her name,

Sacrificing flesh and bone upon her altar

In hopes of gaining her favor and fame.

She is the mother of a thousand young,

Born from the darkest recesses of the mind,

Her power unmatched and her reign unchallenged.

Oh Shub-Niggurath, we offer our souls to thee,

We beseech thee to grant us your dark blessing

And to guide us to a new form of ecstasy.

For we are yours, forevermore,

Bound to your will and your eternal glory

As we worship the black goat of the woods.

Shub-Niggurath Arrival

By: Realms

In a dark and forgotten corner of the world, a forbidden cult was devoted to the worship of Shub-Niggurath. They held secret ceremonies, offering sacrifices to the Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young, in hopes of gaining its favor and receiving its otherworldly gifts.

Deep in the forest, they gathered around a massive stone altar, chanting in an ancient language. Suddenly, a deafening roar echoed through the trees, and the ground trembled beneath them. As they looked up, they saw it - a towering horror, with countless writhing tentacles and a maw of razor-sharp teeth.

Shub-Niggurath had arrived.

The cultists fell to their knees, worshiping in awe and fear as the creature gazed down upon them with its unblinking, malevolent eyes. Then, it began the ritual of impregnation, spewing forth a thick, noxious green ichor that oozed down its tentacles and onto the ground. The cultists screamed in both terror and ecstasy, knowing that they would be blessed with the foul spawn of Shub-Niggurath.

For days, the creature remained in the forest, slaughtering any human who dared come near. It was a force of destruction unlike anything the world had ever seen, and even the bravest of warriors could not stand against its power.

As the days passed, the forest began to change. The trees twisted and contorted, their branches reaching out like gnarled fingers to grab at anyone who wandered too close. The ground itself seemed to warp and twist, turning into a sickening labyrinth of roots and thorns.

Soon, entire villages began to disappear, consumed by the insatiable hunger of the Black Goat's progeny. Entire families were dragged off into the woods, never to be seen or heard from again.

The people of the land prayed to their gods for salvation, but none came. They lived in a constant state of fear, never knowing when the next attack would come, or if they would be among the next to be taken.

And Shub-Niggurath remained, feeding off the fear and desperation of humanity, growing ever stronger with each passing day. The cultists continued their worship, their devotion unwavering even in the face of unspeakable horror.

In the end, there was no hero to save the day. There was no last-minute miracle, no stroke of luck to defeat the monster that had taken over the land. Humanity was doomed, and as the last of them were consumed by Shub-Niggurath and its spawn, the final vestiges of civilization slowly crumbled away, leaving nothing but a barren wasteland. Shub-Niggurath and its offspring ruled over the ruins, basking in the worship and sacrifices of those who remained.

And so it would be for all of eternity - a world ruled by the ultimate horror, where darkness and madness reigned supreme.

Shub-Niggurath

(Lovecraftian)(Gothic)(Short Story)

Destruction of Earth

By: Realms

It began with a whisper in the dark, a murmured promise of endless power and eternal life. The cultists heard the call of the Black Goat, and they answered it eagerly, their minds full of visions of unspeakable horrors and blasphemous rites. They gathered in secret, in dimly-lit basements and abandoned warehouses, whispering ancient words and making sacrifices to the dark entities that lurked at the edge of the void.

And then, one day, the whispers grew louder. The sky turned black as obsidian, and the earth trembled beneath their feet. The cultists were ecstatic to see the arrival of their deity, the one they had been waiting for all their lives. From the darkness emerged the monstrous form of Shub-Niggurath, the Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young.

The earth shook as the beast strode forward, crushing everything in its path. The skies tore apart to reveal the emptiness beyond, as though the very fabric of reality was being ripped apart. Horrific tendrils sprouted from Shub-Niggurath's back, writhing and wriggling in the air as though alive.

The cultists fell to their knees, crying out in reverential ecstasy as Shub-Niggurath approached them. The beast's eyes glowed with an otherworldly light, as it surveyed the strange creatures that had called out to it. It was a being from a realm beyond human comprehension, and its power was beyond measure.

And then, with a roar that shook the foundations of reality, Shub-Niggurath unleashed its power upon the earth. Gigantic tentacles sprouted from the ground, crushing cities and wiping out entire populations in a single stroke. The oceans boiled and the mountains crumbled, as the Black Goat wrought its terrible wrath upon the unsuspecting world.

The sky turned black as night, except for the flashes of lightning and crackling energy that illuminated Shub-Niggurath's horrific form. The air was filled with the screams of the dying, as the cultists looked on in rapturous awe.

In the end, nothing was left. The earth had been stripped bare, a blasted wasteland devoid of life. Of the cultists, there was no sign. Perhaps they had been consumed by the entity they had summoned, or perhaps they had fled into some dark corner of the earth to await the return of their deity.

As the world fell into eternal darkness, with the Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young looming over the desolate ruin of what was once earth, it became clear that this was the culmination of a plan long in motion. The whispers in the dark had not been mere coincidences or the fervent imaginings of mad cultists, but a call from beyond the void.

Shub-Niggurath's arrival had been inevitable, a foregone conclusion that only the mad and the desperate could foresee. And now that it had come to pass, there was nothing left to do but wait for the next cycle of destruction and renewal, when the earth would inevitably be reborn from the ashes of the old.

For the cultists, this was the highest form of ecstasy, to be consumed by the entity they worshipped and to await the end of all things. For the rest of the world, it was the ultimate nightmare, a vision of doom that would haunt their nightmares for the rest of their fleeting, insignificant lives.

And so Shub-Niggurath's black tendrils reached out into the eternal abyss, grasping at the darkness beyond and drawing it closer to the devastated shell of the earth. It was a small, unremarkable planet, insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but for the mad cultists and the monstrous entity that had destroyed it, it was a symbol of endless power and eternal life.

Erica's Child

By: Realms

The sun was setting in the distant horizon as Erica made her way through the woods. She was on a mission to find a mythical creature, a being shrouded in mystery and fright, Shub-Niggurath. She’d heard stories of it since she was a child, but never believed them until she stumbled upon an ancient manuscript in her grandfather’s attic.

The manuscript was inked in a language she couldn’t read, but the drawings left her with no doubt that the creature was real – an enormous, multi-limbed monstrosity with writhing tendrils for hair and gaping maws for eyes. It was said to reside in a cave deep in the woods, surrounded by a cult of devoted followers.

Erica had to see it with her own eyes, to prove to herself that the stories were true. She crept forward, the sound of crickets and night birds whispering around her, until she came upon a clearing in the heart of the forest. The shadows seemed to deepen, stretching out from the trees like grasping hands.

In the center of the clearing was a massive stone statue, the likeness of the creature she sought. It was a twisted, hideous thing, its limbs and tentacles writhing in the darkness as if alive. Erica shuddered at the sight, overcome by a sense of dread and unease that settled like a stone in her stomach.

As she drew closer to the statue, a voice whispered inside her head. It was a soft, silky voice, seductive and alluring. It spoke of power and pleasure, of a world beyond this one, a place where Erica could be anything she wanted to be. All she had to do was offer herself to the creature, become one of its devoted followers.

Erica fought the intoxicating voice, shaking her head and backing away from the statue. She knew the stories, knew that those who pledged themselves to Shub-Niggurath never returned. They vanished, consumed by the creature's dark hunger.

But as she turned to flee, she saw something moving in the shadows. A shape, slinking towards her with a sinuous grace. It was the creature itself, its tendrils lashing out at her with an ominous hiss.

Erica ran as fast as she could, dodging the creature's strikes and plunging deeper into the woods. She could feel its presence behind her, a maddening force pushing her towards insanity.

Finally, she burst from the trees, gasping for breath as she collapsed onto the ground. Somewhere behind her, she could hear the sound of the creature's laughter, Erica's heart raced as terror seized her. She knew she’d never be able to outrun the monster in pursuit. With a deep breath, she closed her eyes and waited for the beast to devour her. But the monster did not attack.

Instead, its tendrils entwined around her, binding her tightly until she couldn't move. The ground opened up beneath her, and she fell into a pit of writhing, squirming flesh.

Erica realized too late that she had fallen into the lair of the creature. The monster was Shub-Niggurath, and she had just become its latest sacrifice, doomed to feed its eternal hunger forever.

With a snarl, the beast devoured her whole, and Erica was no more. Her mortal body transformed into something else entirely, a twisted, horrific being that would forever serve the Great Old One. The woods fell into a deep silence, the only sound being the distant laughter of Shub-Niggurath as it savored its latest offering. And so, the legend of the creature in the woods continued, with Erica becoming just another forgotten victim of its insatiable appetite for destruction.

Shub-Niggurath

(Lovecraftian)(Gothic)(Short Story)

The Village of Death

By: Realms

Once there was a small, isolated village nestled in the heart of a dense forest. The villagers were a superstitious lot, believing in all sorts of myths and legends that had been passed down for generations. One of the most talked-about beings was Shub-Niggurath, the Black Goat of the Woods. The villagers believed that Shub-Niggurath was an ancient and terrible deity that lurked in the darkest depths of the forest. They feared that if they angered her, she would bring untold horrors upon their village.

So every year, they held a grand ritual to appease the Black Goat. They would gather in the center of the village and light a huge bonfire, chanting and performing strange, archaic dances around the flames. They offered up tribute to Shub-Niggurath in the form of livestock, fruits, and wine, hoping that the Dark Lady would be appeased.

But one year, something went terribly wrong. The crops had failed, and the villagers were unable to offer up their usual tribute to Shub-Niggurath. They scrambled to come up with an alternative, scouring the countryside for anything suitable to offer the eldritch deity. As night fell and the bonfire was lit, the villagers gathered around with quivering hands, hoping against hope that their offering would be enough.

As the chanting began, something stirred in the darkness beyond the ring of firelight. A deep, guttural growl echoed through the woods, setting the villagers' teeth on edge. They continued to chant, their voices rising in desperation as they begged for Shub-Niggurath's mercy.

But mercy was not on the Dark Lady's mind that night. Suddenly, the surrounding woods came alive with a cacophony of howls and snarls. Shadows moved in the darkness, silhouetted against the flickering light of the bonfire.

The villagers screamed and scattered, running for their lives as Shub-Niggurath's monstrous children descended upon them. They were bipedal, but hunched over, covered in fur and gore, with claws that could rend flesh with ease. Some had the heads of goats or rams, while others had elongated, snarling dog-like snouts. They were savage, ravenous beasts, driven mad by their hunger for fresh meat.

The villagers fought back with whatever weapons they could find, but it was no use. The creatures were too numerous, too strong. They ripped apart the villagers one by one, their screams and shrieks echoing through the woods. The air was thick with the scent of blood and the sound of bones crunching.

As the last of the villagers was torn limb from limb, the creatures turned their attention to the bonfire. They snarled and hissed as the flames danced, their eyes fixed upon the dark shape of Shub-Niggurath herself as she emerged from the woods.

She was massive, towering over the creatures and the ruined village like a mountain. Her body was black as pitch, writhing with tendrils that seemed to reach out to the creatures around her. Her eyes glowed a sickly green, and her mouth hung open in a soundless roar.

The creatures bowed and fawned over her, tearing into the remnants of the villagers' offerings. And as they did so, Shub-Niggurath began to grow, her tendrils reaching out to the shadows beyond the village. The very fabric of reality seemed to warp and bend around her as she consumed every soul and scrap of flesh around her.

And as the moon rose over the ruined village, there was nothing left but silence, the flicker of the dying embers, and the looming shape of the Black Goat of the Woods, waiting for her next offering.

Azathoth

(Lovecraftian)(Gothic)(Poem)

In the swirling chaos of the void,

The great Azathoth sits enthroned,

All the universe is but his toy,

His power unmatched, his rule unchallenged.

The stars dance to the tune he plays,

Madness and horror in every note,

His endless song, a symphony of craze,

Driving all who hear it to the brink of rupture.

Those who serve him pray for his attention,

Seeking the gift of his infinite power,

But his gaze is forever fixed on his creation,

A maddening display of uncontrollable fervor.

The cosmic leviathan, the blind idiot god,

An unfathomable being beyond comprehension,

May we never awaken his slumbering nod,

Lest our feeble minds shatter in apprehension.

Azathoth

(Lovecraftian)(Gothic)(Poem)

In the empty void of space,

There sleeps a being beyond all race.

A writhing mass of endless limbs,

Whose sight alone can make your mind grow dim.

Azathoth, they call this being,

The Lord of Chaos, forever freeing.

From his sleep, worlds are unmade,

And time and space begin to fade.

His music is a madness all its own,

Driving all who hear it to bone.

The sound is ancient, beyond compare,

And those who listen cannot help but despair.

Yet still he sleeps, in the void of space,

The Lord of Chaos, in his rightful place.

The universe spins around his form,

And all who live are his to transform.

Beware the wrath of Azathoth,

For he is a force that cannot be stopped.

In the depths of space, he slumbers still,

And should he wake, it will be our doom to fulfill.
