The writing system you've linked to is called Cuneiform, and was written with a stylus into clay. It probably was an inspiration for the dragon language's alphabet, alongside the runic alphabet, as both are meant to be carved into stone.

Yes, this could mean three things. 1- this could just be a coincidence, although I highly doubt it. 2- this could be an inspiration for the alphabet 3-this could be an indirect inspiration for the language. Meaning the persian alphabet inspired one thing, which inspired Bethesda Studios, then this connection was made

If I remember correctly, someone directly confirmed cuniform inspired the dragon runes.
