Hello, and welcome! Before we get started, there needs to be a few things to happen in regards to posting your stuff here. Firstly, the way we're gonna do our RP posts in here is going to be different than what you're used to. It will all be much more akin to a novel or story than anything else, so to introduce any OC you have, just follow my lead and you should be okay. Just try to have decent grammar, and we'll get along just fine!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Check, please!” a man called as he walked away from a booth in the back corner of the Bannered Mare, leaving a lightly steaming corpse slumped and draining itself on the table. The man was obviously a soldier, judging by how he looked and they way he moved. Not to mention, of course, the wickedly sharp broadsword slung over his shoulder.

The barkeep, a young Nordic woman named Hulda, tossed a scowl his way, “Hey, Karl. When are ye gonna stop leaving bodies in my establishment? I’m tryin’ ta run a business here, and yer driving away me customers.”

“I’ll stop killing ‘em when they stop coming after me,” the man shrugged, clearly nonplussed by his deliberate slaughter of a hired thug. He then strolled over to the bar as if nothing had happened and dropped a bag of Septims in front of the tavern-woman before walking out into a bright Skyrim afternoon in the early start of the Last Seed, and one coould say that it was a perversion of the warm, welcoming day that a man be killed in the middle of a bustling city, and hardly anyone would care.

Karl took in a deep, pollen-filled breath. “Alright,” he said as he pulled out a leather-bound notebook. “Who's next?”

Karl snapped his book shut with a sound of finality, looking at the elf with a grave expression. "Well, then I'm afraid that I must report that your brother Arden was killed in a skirmish between a Thalmor escort and a Stormcloak warband. You have my sympathies."

"Indeed," Karl nodded. "Of course, I'd rather be at home dealing with a turtle infestation than having to do this," he waved the book a little for clarification. "It gets so tedious, and some of the other relations' reactions were less than...accepting, if you catch my drift."

"Why are there turtles in your house?"

Karl sighed before pinching the bridge of his nose between a forefinger and a thumb, "My wife saw one, thought it was adorable, and brought it inside. Now one had become hundreds, and she swears it was just the one turtle. I swear, they multiply when you're not looking, and they'll tear up your home like it was a loaf of bread floating down a waterfall!"

*He let's out a small chuckle, recognizing the curse of multiplication, a fun practical gag between wizards*

"Hmmm... Sounds interesting" He says smirking, he doesn't tell his knowledge of the turtle problem, that would have just ruined the fun.

"One things for sure," the man raised his finger, waggint it slightly. "When I get home, I'm going to have a lot of stew. Turtle tastes surprisingly like chicken."

((I know this firsthand. Don't ask.))
